Alice Louise Womack of Hendersonville died Thursday August 2, 2012 at The Oaks at Sweeten Creek.

A native of White County, GA and a longtime resident of Henderson County. Mrs. Womack was the daughter of the late William Benson Freeman and Alice Moore Freeman. She worked for 20 years as the Manager of Town & Country Gift Shop and later worked at Swanson’s Gifts. She was member of the Mud Creek Baptist Church and worked in the Primary Dept. for many years.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Lewis Womack, a son William Charles Womack, and 5 Brothers and 2 sisters.

She is survived by one son Terry Womack of Campobello, SC; a daughter-in-law Sue Womack two grandsons Anthony Womack of Raleigh, NC and Todd Womack of Murfreesboro, TN.Great-grandchildren Mason and Sadie Womack of Raleigh and Parker Womack of Murfreesboro, TN.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at the The Oaks at Sweeten Creek for all the care and love shown; as well as, Four Seasons Hospice.

Funeral services will held at 3:00 PM on Saturday August 4, 2012 at Thos. Shepherd’s Church Street Chapel with Rev. Greg Mathis officiating. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home, one hour prior to the service on Saturday from 2:00 to 3:00 PM.

At other times the family will be at the residence of Barbara Gasperson, 300 Oklawala Circle, Hendersonville, NC 28739

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Four Seasons Hospice 571 South Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731
