George Darrell Beddingfield, 82, of Hendersonville, died suddenly on Friday, February 22, 2013 at his home. A native of Henderson County he was born on July 20, 1930 to the late Burgan Beddingfield and Myrtle McCall Beddingfield. He was also preceded in death by his son, Gary Beddingfield; a brother JC Beddingfield and a baby sister.

He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Cedar Springs Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time gardening, hunting, doing carpentry and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Pauline Beddingfield; his two daughters, Wanda Silsbe and her husband, Mike, of Arden, Barbara Beddingfield and her husband, Carroll, of Zirconia. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at Cedar Springs Baptist Church with Reverend Dan Holbert and Reverend Josh Mathis officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00PM until 8:00PM on Monday, February 25, 2013 at the funeral home.
