Helen M. Ursin of Hendersonville, NC passed away on March 9, 2018 at the Elizabeth House. She was born in Indiana on August 3, 1922.

She was a graduate of the University of Michigan, earning a degree in Psychology. She was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi prior to raising her family. She was a social worker in Michigan, California, and Indiana.

She and her husband, Paul H. Ursin, were married for forty-two years prior to his death in 1992. During their married life, they lived in California, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, and Florida. They moved to Hendersonville, NC in 1986.

During her years in Hendersonville, she did volunteer work for the Council on Aging, The Visitors Information Center, and was a docent at the Carl Sandburg Historical Home. She was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Jorja A. Ursin of Hendersonville; sons, David Ursin and wife, Deedee of Van Nuys, CA, James Ursin and wife, Chelsea of Hendersonville; and granddaughter, Rachael Ursin of Hendersonville; and the recent arrival of a grandson, Henry Edward Ursin.

Inurnment will be held at a later date following a private family ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA.
