Arnold Wyatt “Arnie” Ward, age 53 of Zirconia, died Wednesday, November 29th, 2017. He was born March 3rd, 1964 in Henderson County; a son of Grover Sherman Ward and Dollie Jackson Ward.

A native and lifelong resident of Henderson County; Arnie was employed with Billy’s Wrecker Service. He was a lifetime member of the Green River Fire and Rescue and a member of Cedar Springs Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sons, Arnold Wyatt Ward, II and his wife, Jacqueline Watts Ward of Steadman, NC and Adam Lee Ward and his fiancé, Taylor Watkins of Hendersonville; two grandchildren, Jeremiah Sherman Ward and Annabelle Charlotte Ward; two sisters, June Beddingfield and her husband, Ben of Zirconia and Norma Mullinax and her husband, Jerry of Hendersonville; one brother, Edward Ward and his wife, Lisa of Zirconia; and by several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 3rd, 2017 in Thos. Shepherd’s Church Street Chapel officiated by the Reverend Jerry Mullinax.

His family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.

Thos. Shepherd & Son Funeral Directors are in charge of the arrangements.
