Betty Ann Oates, 76, of Laurel Park, died Friday, November 16, 2018 at her home.

 

She was the daughter of the late William and Alice Sherrill.  Betty was a co-owner of Oates Realty Associates in Hendersonville.  She was a member of First Baptist Church of Hendersonville; a member of the Hendersonville Board of Realtors; and numerous professional associations.

 

Betty is survived by her husband, to whom she married on May 27, 1964, Joseph Oates; a daughter Sherrill Oates and her husband Michael McQuade of Travelers Rest, SC; a grandson, Ian McQuade of Travelers Rest, SC and a brother, Maurice Sherrill and his wife Della of Andrews, NC.

 

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Hendersonville with Reverend Steve Scoggins officiating.  Burial will follow at Shepherd Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
