Patricia Fisher Hamilton, age 88 of Fletcher, died Monday, June 25, 2018 at Universal Health Care. She was born in Gastonia on February 8, 1930; the youngest of seven children of the late, Robert Conrad Fisher and Margaret Rhyne Fisher.

Patricia Fisher Hamilton, age 88 of Fletcher, died Monday, June 25, 2018 at Universal Health Care. She was born in Gastonia on February 8, 1930; the youngest of seven children of the late, Robert Conrad Fisher and Margaret Rhyne Fisher.

 

 

Pat served in the Women’s Marines at Camp Lejeune, Camp Pendleton and Pearl Harbor from 1951 until 1954 and remained a member of Women Marines Association. While living in Oregon, she served as an advisor to Rainbow girl’s organization and volunteered over 1,000 hours with the Veterans Hospital. She lived for 30 years in Oregon, then Pennsylvania and Florida before settling in Fletcher for the past 18 years.

 

 

She is survived by her husband, Walter Hamilton of Fletcher; and by many nieces, nephews and cousins who loved Pat.

 

 

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 in Thos. Shepherd’s Church Street Chapel, Hendersonville.

 

 

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations in Pat’s memory be directed to Four Seasons Hospice or to the Brig. General Blazey Veterans Fund at Four Seasons Hospice, 571 South Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.

 

 

Thos. Shepherd & Son Funeral Directors and Cremation Memorial Center is in charge of the arrangements.
