On Thursday, August 2, 2018 Ruby Roberson passed away suddenly at home at the age of 83 years. Ruby will be lovingly remembered by her daughter and son-in-law Lynette and Dave Minnich of Hendersonville, NC, her sister Dora May Hubbard of Mechanicsville, VA, and by her numerous nieces and nephews and their extended families. Ruby was predeceased by her husband Lowell E. Roberson, her parents Charles and Dora (Powell) Wilson, and by six sisters and one brother.

 

 

Ruby was a native of Roanoke, VA where she was born on August 6, 1934 and lived most of her life. In recent years she had lived with her daughter and son-in-law and her five grand-kittens in Hillsborough, NC and had recently moved with them to Hendersonville, NC.

 

 

The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, August 15 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Summerdean Church of the Brethren, 6604 Plantation Road, Hollins, VA, 24019.

 

 

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 16 at 11:00 AM at Summerdean Church of the Brethren.

 

 

Memorial donations in memory of Ruby may be made to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
